Faculty Information - Blackboard 5

How do students get access to my course?

Once you have created a course using the faculty self-service page, students who have pre-registered for the course, or who add/drop, will be automatically loaded into the Blackboard 5 database. These dataloads begin the day before the quarter starts.

How long does it take for my students to have access to my course?

Computer Services updates the Student Information System nightly, Sunday through Thursday. It takes 1 - 2 business days for student registration information to move from the updated SIS database into the Bb5 database and to appear in your course roster.

Once my student is listed in my course roster, how does she/he log in?

All Bb5 users, whether faculty, student, staff or courtesy appointments, must use their oak email ID and password to log into the system.
